Who We Are

The Fulton County Council on Aging was established in 1974.  This non-profit agency strives to encourage independence and improve the quality of life for people in Fulton County who are reaching their golden years. Here at the Council on Aging, we believe in providing programs and services that enable persons 55 and older to maintain an independent and invigorating lifestyle. Through our activities and services, we strive to add life enrichment to the citizens of Fulton County.

Our agency provides daily activities, meals, and exercise classes, most at little or no charge.  We also offer day and week-long trips, computer classes, art lessons, quilting lessons, card clubs, BINGO, movie days, and Round Table Breakfasts.  Our monthly activities also include reduced-cost hair cuts, informational speakers, and various health clinics including hearing care.

Seniors or family members can find support and resources through our office that involve solutions for short and long term care, dementia and Alzheimer support, Medicaid and Medicare support, or resources and suggestions for helping them make natural transitions during the aging process.  The Council on Aging also has a supply of walkers, wheelchairs, canes and crutches that may be loaned out for trial periods.

Fulton County Transpo is also operated by the Council on Aging and provides public transportation to anyone in Fulton County, regardless of age.

For more information on any of our programs or services, please call Executive Director, Georgia Moudy, at (574) 223-6953.
